Privacy Policy
SaltLine Networks • Effective date: 15 July 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how SaltLine Networks ("SaltLine," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information gathered through our website, saltlinenetworks.com, and through our general business dealings with prospective and current clients. It does not cover how surveillance footage captured by systems we install is handled — that is addressed separately in Section 6 below and governed by each client's Installation & Service Agreement.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly, through forms such as "Book a Site Survey" and "Contact," including your first and last name, email address, phone number (where provided), and details about your property or connectivity needs.
Information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring page, gathered through cookies and similar technologies used by our website platform and any analytics tools we enable.
Information collected while providing services, such as site address, network configuration details, and equipment information needed to prepare a quotation, complete an installation, or deliver a remote management/maintenance package you have purchased.
3. How We Use Information
• To respond to inquiries and site survey/quote requests
• To schedule and carry out site surveys, installations, and service visits
• To provide, maintain, and support the services you have purchased
• To send service-related communications (e.g., appointment confirmations, invoices)
• To improve our website and offerings
• To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. Cookies
Our website, built on a third-party hosting platform, may use cookies or similar technologies to operate correctly, remember preferences, and (if enabled) measure site traffic. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how parts of the site function.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate our website and business (for example, our website hosting platform, email, or scheduling tools), or where required to comply with law, legal process, or to protect our rights. If SaltLine is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Surveillance & CCTV Data — Important Clarification
When SaltLine installs a CCTV or surveillance system for a client, the client (the property or business owner) is the party responsible for — and in control of — any footage, images, or recordings that system captures of guests, staff, contractors, or visitors. SaltLine's role is limited to supplying, installing, configuring, and, where a remote management package has been purchased, providing technical maintenance of the system.
SaltLine does not routinely access, monitor, store, or make use of footage content. Where SaltLine's technicians incidentally access footage while performing maintenance or troubleshooting that the client has requested, that access is limited to what is necessary for that purpose, is kept confidential, and is not disclosed to third parties except as required by law.
Clients are responsible for their own compliance with applicable notice, signage, and data protection requirements at their premises. Full terms governing installed surveillance systems are set out in the client's signed Installation & Service Agreement, not this website Privacy Policy.
7. Where Your Information Is Stored
Our website and related tools may store data on servers located outside Mozambique, depending on the hosting and software providers we use. We take steps to use reputable providers with appropriate safeguards.
8. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, then delete or anonymize it unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete it sooner.
9. Your Rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page, with the effective date updated accordingly.
